Colour management: ensuring each colour is equal
Colour management at LONGO ensures that the printed colours all appear as they previously looked on screen. Colour management means entering and saving the characteristics and colour spaces of all the devices involved – cameras, scanners, screens and monitors for prepress – in so-called ICC profiles.
All these devices must first be carefully calibrated, the first step in correctly representing colours. But only the interaction of calibration and profiling will permit colour continuity for all work procedures.
This is necessary as images will look somewhat different on each device. Only by means of our colour management can we guarantee that the softproof and the printed result will correspond to the original.
