Scope of Application
This Data Privacy Statement provides users with information about the type, scope and purpose of personal data collection and processing on this website (henceforth referred to as “website”) by the provider responsible, Longo Deutschland GmbH, Ammannstraße 12, 86167 Augsburg, Germany. E-Mail: info@longo.media, Phone: +49 (0)821 999 890.

The German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG) form the legal framework, on which this Data Privacy Statement is based.

Access data/server log files
The provider (or rather its webspace-provider) collects data about every website hit or incidence of access to the website (so-called server log files). Website-hit data includes:

Name of fetched or downloaded website, file, fetch date and time, quantity of data transferred, successful fetch/download prompt, browser type and version, user’s operating system, referrer URL (previously visited website), IP address and enquiring provider.

The provider uses the protocol data for statistical analysis purposes only to ensure website operation, security and optimization. However the provider reserves the right to review protocol data retrospectively, if, given tangible evidence, there is justifiable grounds for suspecting illegal use.

Getting in contact
When contacting the provider (e.g. using the Contact Form or by e-mail), data appertaining to users are stored for the purposes of responding to enquiries and of asking follow-up questions, if need be.

Comments and other posts
If users leave comments on the Blog or other posts on the website, their IP addresses are stored. This is to protect the provider, should somebody include illegal content in comments and posts (insults, banned political propaganda etc.). In such cases the provider itself can be prosecuted for such comments or posts and therefore has a legitimate interest in knowing the identity of the author.

Inclusion of third-party services and content
It is possible that third-party content, such as YouTube videos, Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites, is incorporated in this website. This always assumes that the provider of this content (henceforth referred to as “third-party provider”) is aware of the user’s IP address. For without the IP address they could not send the content to the relevant user’s browser. The IP address is therefore required to display this content. We make every effort to use only such content, the providers of which use IP addresses solely for the purposes of delivering content. However we have no influence on whether third-party providers store IP addresses for statistical purposes, for example. Where we are aware of such facts, we explain this to users.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”).Google Analytics utilizes so-called “cookies”, which are text files placed on users’ computers to help analyze how they use the website. Google will not associate the user’s IP address, transmitted by the user’s browser during the course of Google Analytics use, with any other data held by Google. Users can prevent the storage of cookies by activating the relevant setting in their browser software; however the website operator should like to make users aware of the fact that they may then not be able to make full use of all the functions on this website. Furthermore users can prevent collection of cookie-generated, website-use-related (incl.
